This is a two-part yoga series incorporating self-massage, yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and tools from the somatic practitioner toolbox to help you build physical and mental resilience, increase adaptability, and empower you to navigate stress without getting “stuck.”
In this series, you will learn about:
The Autonomic Nervous System and how mindful breathwork can ground you when you feel overwhelmed
Heart Rate Variability and how yoga asana may contribute to cardiovascular (and overall) health
Vagal Tone and how to use self-massage and somatic tools to stimulate healthy vagus nerve function
Rest, why it’s so hard and how passive practices like Yin Yoga can help restore feelings of safety and ease in the body
Ultimately, you will learn how to take the practice off of the mat to support you as you navigate life’s challenges and help you open more fully to life’s joys.
This series is appropriate for all levels.
You will need the following props:
1 yoga blanket
2 yoga blocks (or block substitutes)
1 set of Yoga Tune Up Balls (or 2 tennis balls) in a tube sock
